Unpredictable Struggle for Existence!
Struggle for existence has all the more been an effective phenomenon from time immemorial. The case is not different as regards IPL too. Towards the last pace of IPL Season 4, the spectators are facing the expected scenes turning upside down. Thanks to the cricket gods that the game has been gaining the high end momentum towards the last pace.
As regards IPL Season 4, 17th May will be an unforgettable day for Kings X1 Punjab and also the whole tournament. The lucky Tuesday made it possible for them to attain the highest score of 232-2 in the 63rd match. Home away ground Dharmasala has thus become a lucky ground for cricket.
This victory has been a sweet revenge as regards Kings X1 Punjab. They had been in a must to win situation with just 12 points from 12 matches. Having the 5th position in the points table, Punjab team never had much hopes to enter the play off. The lucky skipper Adam Gilchrist has done his maximum to cover a century from just 55 balls, making a total of 106. Shaun Marsh’s 79 and Valthaty’s 20 too made them attain the highest score, that too, with the loss of just two wickets. Hats off to Gilchrist and his team Kings X1 Punjab!
Even if being out from IPL Season 4, they can be proud that, they have just crossed the still highest score of 231 taken by Delhi Daredevils in this season. Daredevils have even made their destiny to the last stage till now. If succeeded in the forthcoming match, it will surely be an added credit to Kings X1 Punjab.
What we find from the current scenario is again fixing our preposition on IPL- The Unpredictable Game.
Last day too, we had witnessed the wonderful performance by Kochi Tuskers Kerala. They have beaten Rajasthan Royals with a glorifying 8 wickets victory while there had been 76 balls to spare. All the Kochi fans had held their breath throughout the match. They have all prayed, ‘had they been playing like this in the earlier matches…’ Even then, Kochi too may have some more fortune pending towards the end. It‘s IPL. We can’t predict anything since a single batsman can change the whole scene very soon.
While talking of KTK, it’s unavoidable to mention the second home ground Indore. The team hadn’t preferred Indore at any time. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium Kochi being the home ground of the team, they had to move to Indore for the last matches due to pressures. But eventually, it proved to be a favourable ground for them, if we can side track the terrorist threats towards the start. But now it seems that they have got better acceptance from the government over there regarding ticket issues. Tax rates had been reduced to the maximum. Finally, Kochi Tuskers is of the assumption that Indore was much favourable for them. Let it be noted by the Kochi Corporation authorities. Anybody can make a game attain positive heights and at the same time, destroying it to the very end.
Positive supports should be there in the whole sports field so that the games may reach to its high end momentum. Struggle for existence too become a decisive factor as regards cricket is concerned. The match between Kings X1 Punjab and RCB too tells us of the same factor.
The coming days will be fully for IPL. Towards the last pace at least, we shall embrace cricket with its real spirit. Let us find out the real cricketers too.
